Welcome to the Carolina Consortium
The Carolina Consortium enables libraries in North and South Carolina to use their bulk purchasing power to obtain favorable pricing on a variety of electronic resources and services.
The total amount the members paid to participate in the consortium deals in 2020 was over four hundred million dollars less than if the member institutions had each paid independently. Most of the consortium's 120+ deals are still open to new participants, and new deals are considered by the group each May.
In 2022 the Carolina Consortium includes 176 public libraries, seminary schools, community colleges, public universities, and private institutions of higher learning. Membership in the Carolina Consortium is free. Members can participate in as many or as few deals as they like.
