Administration Drive was paved, and a new fountain was installed in front of the Administration (now Foust) Building.

A cafeteria opened in the new Home Economics Building as a laboratory for the dietetic program. It served lunch and dinner to faculty, students, and visitors.

Cafeteria-style breakfasts were introduced in the Dining Halls.

The Day Students Association for town (commuter) students was formed.
