Lost Horizon by James Hilton
"I first read James Hilton's, 1933 classic, Lost Horizon as a high school student. My search for personal adventure, drama, and the pursuit of Shangri-La were haunting as I got lost in the pages of this novel. Lost Horizon is one of the books that made me fall in love with reading and made me really start to think about life and its many journeys. I am now a full-time faculty member in the School of Nursing and there have been many books along my academic journey but Lost Horizon remains my all time favorite. I hope Lost Horizons remains on the high school reading list for all the generations of students to enjoy."
