This book inspired me during my doctoral studies to study family firms: Family firms are prevalent across countries and play an important role in national economies. However, only a small percentage of them survive in the long run. This has led me to take a closer look at family firms in many aspects such as strategy, entrepreneurship, financial viability, governance, organizational behavior, human resource management, and many more in my research.
