The Autobiography of Malcolm X
by Malcolm X and Alex Haley
The Autobiography of Malcolm X written by Malcolm X and Alex Haley has special meaning to me. I first read this book in high school along with several of my peers. The discussions we had about the book were transformative. This book ignited my passion for reading, particularly literature about social and racial justice. It also gave me an appreciation for diverse perspectives, as well as the evolution of the philosophies of human rights activists and leaders.
